Middle East survey shows Beirut is most expensive city
    Salt Lake City Sun
    Wednesday 8th September, 2010

Beirut has become the most expensive city in the Middle East this year.

Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, is the 10th most expensive rental city in the world, compared with last year’s rank of 28.

Beirut is now ahead of Paris, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Geneva and Rio de Janeiro and just behind Singapore, Osaka, New York City, Moscow, Hong Kong and London due to an increase in rental prices for two and three-bedroom apartments for expatriates.
